Warranty on the Chronos cameras

If you have had the honor of purchasing a Chronos camera, all cameras come standard with a one-year hardware warranty. You can also purchase an extended warranty in one (two year total) and two (three years total) year(s) increments when ordering a Chronos camera. Note that an extended warranty can only be applied before the camera is delivered to the end user.

RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization)

Returns should be sent to Kron Technologies Inc within 15 business days of the issuance of the RMA number or we can cancel the return authorization. All warranty, non-warranty, and out of box failure claims should be emailed to support@krontech.ca with the serial number, a detailed description of the issues, and photos of failure to perform or damages.

All repair returns to Kron Technologies Inc are to be shipped prepaid with a waybill issued by Kron Technologies. Do not ship with your own courier, this could end in customs delays and unnecessary taxes. Any taxes due at the Canadian border during return will be billed to you. Warranty return shipments have shipping paid by Kron Technologies Inc. For non-warranty repairs you will be billed shipping along with parts and labour cost.

The RMA# should be clearly printed on the package and/or shipping label. All units without an RMA number will be refused. Please DO NOT send items back to us without having an RMA issued and referenced on the outside of the box.

Remove the battery and all accessories before shipping back the camera. Please ship ONLY THE CAMERA for repairs unless told otherwise by our staff. DO NOT REMOVE THE SYSTEM SD CARD LOCATED/ACCESSED ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CAMERA (this card contains the camera's OS and calibration data).

All returns should be properly packed to prevent damage during shipping, and should be sent to the address provided on the waybill sent by Kron Technologies. Ship the items in the original shipping container whenever possible. Kron Technologies Inc will not return-ship in anything other than our approved packaging. Kron Technologies Inc will not be held responsible for any damages that occurred during the shipment to our facility for repair, and we will notify you of improper packaging and any damage upon receipt of the RMA items.

Once the service repair has been completed, the pieces of hardware modified and/or renewed will be warrantied for the remainder of the original warranty or six months, which ever is longer.

There will be a $250 USD diagnostic labour fee for all cameras that are sent in without warranty coverage. All parts and labour involved will be charged after the diagnostics have identified the issue. Payment is due within 10 business days of receiving notification of billing. Note that the camera will not be authorized to be shipped back to the customer before all due payments are successfully paid. Only prepayments are accepted for charges related to RMAs.

Out of box failures are to be reported within 7 days of delivery. If any shipping or manufacturer’s damage is reported after, then it is considered a warranty claim. All out of box failures can be returned, with free shipping, with a full refund, repair, company credit, or a new unit at the discretion of Kron Technologies.
